Silicone sealant is a paste made of polydimethylsiloxane as the main raw material, supplemented with crosslinking agent, filler, plasticizer, coupling agent, and catalyst in a vacuum state. Exposure to water in the air should cure to form an elastic silicone rubber.

2. Basic purpose

1. Silicone sealant is suitable for installation of aluminum alloy doors and windows, titanium alloy doors and windows, plastic steel doors and windows, and general decorative caulking and sealing.

2. It is suitable for weather-resistant sealing of various glass curtain walls, aluminum-plastic panel curtain walls, stone dry hanging, etc.

3. Suitable for bonding and sealing gusset doors and windows.

4. It is suitable for bonding and sealing porous stone, laminated glass, insulating glass, mirror glass, coated glass, zinc, copper, and iron materials.

5. Suitable for joint sealing between various glass, metal, aluminum, tiles, plexiglass, and coated glass.

6. It is suitable for joint sealing of concrete, cement, masonry, rock, marble, steel, wood, anodized aluminum and painted aluminum surfaces. In most cases, no primer is required.

7. It is suitable for bonding dry and clean metal, glass, most oil-free wood, silicone resin, sulfur-added silicone rubber, ceramics, natural and synthetic fibers, and many painted plastic surfaces.

8. It can be used to bond ceramics, sanitary ware, marble, etc.

3. Construction and storage

The construction of silicone structural sealant must use special tools.

The construction environment should be well-lit, clean, and equipped with fire-proof, explosion-proof, and dust-proof measures.

The construction environment temperature is generally not lower than 10°C, and the relative humidity is not lower than 30%.

Check the production date, qualification certificate, inspection report, glue seam check calculation report, compatibility and adhesion test report of the structural adhesive one by one, and the product should meet the standards and curtain wall design requirements.

The storage of silicone sealant is suitable for a cool and dry place between 4-27 degrees Celsius; the storage period is within 6 months from the date of production.

2. This product will release small molecules during the curing process, which will slightly irritate the skin and eyes. It is recommended to use it in a well-ventilated place.

3. If it touches the skin accidentally, wipe it clean, and then rinse it with water; if it touches the eyes accidentally, rinse it with water immediately and go to the hospital for examination.

When using the silicone sealant, cut the mouth of the tube, install the nozzle tube, and then use the glue gun to pump it out of the glue bottle for coating.

1. If the nozzle is just cut, the glue will flow out automatically. The reason is that when the product is being filled, the sealing is to use the punch to quickly rush the plug into the tube. If the pressure of the punch is adjusted too much, it will cause the inside of the tube When a little pressure is formed, the glue will flow out under pressure when the nozzle is cut, but the pressure will not be very high, and the flow will stop after two or three millimeters, which will not affect the construction.

2. If the glue still flows out automatically after the glue gun is applied, it is related to the construction. Usually, the manual glue gun is manually applied to the glue gun by the personnel, and the "driving shaft" is pushed forward to make the glue squeezed out. The product packaging plastic bottle used by the user is a thin bottle, and the expansion phenomenon will be more serious), when the user stops applying pressure to the glue gun, the glue bottle will recover from the original expansion and contraction at this time, plus the inertia of the "driving shaft" of the glue gun There is also a forward thrust, even if the glue gun stops applying pressure, the glue from the glue nozzle will continue to flow out a little, which will cause inconvenience to the builder and even affect the construction quality.

Therefore, when using, there should be an advance amount when stopping gluing due to construction needs, that is, the manual pressure should be reduced in advance when gluing is about to end, and immediately press the iron piece of the spring part of the glue gun with your hand when it is finished, so that it can be used. If the forward inertia of the "driving shaft" is reduced to zero, the pressure of expansion, contraction and restoration of the rubber bottle will also be reduced accordingly, and the bottom cover will be slightly retreated, which will greatly reduce the chance of glue outflow.
